Our customers say…

“We asked Amanda for help with a large raised bed at the front of our house. She listened to what we wanted & was very helpful in the design process. We wanted to tweak a few things and again nothing was too much trouble for Amanda. We absolutely love the design & the plants which came recommended. Amanda is such a lovely lady & cares very much about what she does. Thank you again for all your help!”

Sarah Mattinson

“Amanda has put together a design which will be a garden for a lifetime. Using ideas I could never have thought of myself, she met the brief we gave her and more and made it a space which we can enjoy for years to come.”

Adam Sharp

“Amanda was fantastic at listening to us and turning our thoughts into a high quality garden design. She really cared about making a design that was right for us and had a lot of valuable ideas. Highly recommend.”

Chris Mathieson

“After 30 years of wear and tear from kids, grandkids, and not enough time, our garden needed a complete rethink. Now retired, we wanted a space to enjoy together and with loved ones — but one that could also look after itself when we’re away. Amanda was an absolute joy to work with — warm, full of ideas, and she really listened to what mattered to us. She gave us a design that’s not only beautiful and wildlife-friendly, but perfectly ‘us’, with gentle curves, year-round colour, and clever touches we’d never have thought of. We smile every time we look at it — we couldn’t be happier.”

Chris George

“We used Amanda to create a new design for our rear garden. She really grasped our brief and understood the key aspects we needed her to consider. We are delighted with her proposal that will transform our garden. She produced brilliantly presented designs that blend computer-generated elements with photographs, providing a real, lifelike perspective. Amanda is easy to work with, and we appreciated her patience with a couple of tweaks to the finished design. Very professional and would not hesitate to use Amanda again and would recommend to anyone.”

Gary Chorley

“After years of tinkering with parts of our garden, we realised we needed some expert help. We got in touch with Hummingbird Garden Design after a personal recommendation, and Amanda really got what we were looking for. She came up with an exceptional, creative plan that brought the whole garden together while giving each area its own character. The colour, texture and planting choices offer year-round interest, and we now feel more confident to experiment ourselves. Amanda was a pleasure to deal with — responsive, thoughtful and full of great ideas.”

Andy Middleham

“Our garden was a bit of a blank canvas — awkward shapes, overgrown shrubs — and Amanda created a brilliant design that completely transformed how we see and use the space. She really listened to what mattered to us and asked all the right questions. The plan includes quick wins we can tackle now, as well as ideas to work on over time. She linked the garden beautifully to the house and helped us make the most of the sunlight for a veg patch and evening seating. Her knowledge, care and creativity shine through — we’ll enjoy this space for years to come.”
